Pearl Jam adds Sacramento tour date, bringing ‘Gigaton’ to Golden 1 Center this May
A little more than two years ago, legendary grunge rock band Pearl Jam became one of the first major music acts to postpone touring due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
When that rescheduled tour kicks off this year in North America, there will be a few additional tour dates — including a stop in Sacramento.
Pearl Jam will hit Golden 1 Center on May 18 as part of their “Gigaton” tour. Tickets will go on sale via Ticketmaster on March 29.
The band had originally planned to tour North America in spring 2020 and Europe that summer. Instead, they’ll open the tour this May in Southern California, starting in San Diego and Los Angeles; then head to Europe in June and July; and loop back to Canada and the U.S. in September.
The three other stops added: Fresno’s Save Mart Arena on May 16, MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on May 20 and Waterfront Music Pavilion in Camden, New Jersey, on Sept. 14.
“Gigaton,” the band’s 11th studio album, released March 27, 2020, to critical acclaim.
