Whether you prefer your birds live or carved in wood, the Pacific Flyway Decoy Association’s 45th Annual Classic Wildlife Art Festival ought to meet your needs.

There you’ll find artists painting, carving and testing how well their decoys float, and you’ll find exhibits and displays that will teach you about a variety of birds.

9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday. DoubleTree Hotel, 2001 Point West Way, Sacramento. $5, children under 12 free. www.pacificflyway.org.
