Cirque du Soleil will make its return to the Sacramento area next year. Here’s what to know
Cirque du Soleil is coming to Sacramento’s Golden 1 Center in 2023, presenting its show “Corteo.”
From Aug. 3 to Aug. 6, Cirque du Soleil, known for its theatrical acrobatics, baroque circus acts and music, will tell a story about an exuberant and joyous funeral for a clown.
“Regret and melancholy retreat in the face of a cavalcade of lively recollections of a life gloriously lived,” the entertainment group described the show on its website. “A festive parade that entertains; the perfect accolade for an artist whose life was dedicated to revelry and making merry.”
This will be the group’s first of four Northern California stops. It will then head to San Jose, Oakland and San Francisco.
