Tears for Fears is headed to this Sacramento-area venue. Here’s when to buy tickets

Tears for Fears is returning to concert stages this summer with a stop at Wheatland’s Toyota Amphitheatre.

The July 29 date is a stop on the duo’s 22-city “The Tipping Point Tour, Part II.” Opening will be Cold War Kids.

The duo of Curt Smith and Roland Orzabal first drew fame with MTV-era chart-toppers “Shout,” ”Everybody Wants to Rule the World,” and “Sowing The Seeds of Love.”

Tears for Fears’ North American summer tour concludes with Southern California stops in Palm Springs and at the Hollywood Bowl.

Toyota Amphitheatre is at 2677 Forty Mile Road in Wheatland.

Presale tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Public sales are 10 a.m. Friday.
