Rock band from San Francisco joins star-studded California State Fair concert lineup

Third Eye Blind will be taking the stage at the California State Fair as a part of the Toyota Concert Series, organizers announced Wednesday.

The fair runs from July 14 to July 30 at Cal Expo in Sacramento, and each night is headlined with a star-studded roster.

The rock band joins artists Fitz and the Tantrums, Ashanti, the Isley Brothers and LeAnn Rimes. Third Eye Blind will play at 8 p.m. Sunday, July 23.

Third Eye Blind formed in San Francisco and released its debut eponymous record in 1997, featuring hit songs “Semi-Charmed Life,” “Jumper” and “How’s It Going to Be.” Its newest release was in 2022 with “Unplugged,” an acoustic version of the debut tracks, and in 2021 with the album “Our Bande Apart.”

This announcement from Cal Expo leaves two more artists left to be revealed before the fair.

How much are tickets?

The concerts are free with general fair admission, which can be bought online. You can reserve seats for the concerts starting at $25.

Early bird prices will run until July 13 with prices set at:

  • $14 for adults
  • $10 for seniors
  • $8 for children 5 to 12 years old
  • Free for children under 5

General admission, which starts July 14, start at:

  • $16 for adults
  • $12 for seniors
  • $10 for children 5 to 12 years old
  • Free for children under 5
