Pearl Jam is coming to Sacramento’s Golden 1 Center. Here’s when — and how to get tickets
Pearl Jam is going on “The Dark Matter World Tour” this year, and its first California stop will be Sacramento’s Golden 1 Center.
It’s been 24 years since the Grammy Award-winning alternative rock band last performed in the capital city.
On Tuesday, Pearl Jam announced that its tour will kick off in May.
Pearl Jam’s 12th studio album, “Dark Matter,” comes out April 19. The band released the album’s title track on Monday.
One of the most popular bands of the grunge movement of the 1990s, Pearl Jame is known for such hit songs as “Even Flow,” “Alive” and “Black.”
The band, which stops in Sacramento on May 13, is joining a star-studded lineup at Golden 1 Center.
Acts lined up to perform at the event venue include Bad Bunny on March 5, Janet Jackson on June 11 and Tim McGraw on June 29.
How to get tickets to Pearl Jam
You need to register online at Ticketmaster for tickets to see Pearl Jam at Golden 1 Center.
Registration is open now and ends at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday.
This is to help prevent bots and scalpers from getting access to tickets, according to Ticketmaster.
The ticketing service notes that registering does not guarantee ticket sales. Some people will be randomly selected to buy tickets and some will be on the waitlist.
You’ll find out whether you can get tickets or if you’re waitlisted on Feb. 22. Those selected for the sale will get a text with an access code.
It wasn’t clear Wednesday how much those tickets will cost.
