Alternative rock band Dogstar took the stage Saturday in front of an enthusiastic house of adoring fans at the Hard Rock Live Sacramento near Wheatland.
The Los Angeles band features “The Matix” and “John Wick” star Keanu Reeves as its bassist, Bret Domrose on lead vocals/guitar and drummer Robert Mailhouse.
The group released its first album in two decades, titled “Somewhere Between the Power Lines and Palm Trees,” in October 2023. Reeves and Mailhouse began playing together in 1991. They first reunited on stage at the BottleRock Napa Valley music festival last year, according to Billboard.
The band’s Summer Vacation Tour heads next to Santa Cruz on Sunday night, the first of six remaining West Coast shows.
Sons Of Silver opened for the group with an energetic and engaging set.
