Take a tour of Escapology, a new Sacramento escape room venue at DoCo

Looking for an escape?

You might want to check out Escapology in Sacramento’s Downtown Plaza. The new venue, which had its grand opening on Wednesday, features nine themed escape rooms. Players have an hour to solve the puzzles and riddles in each room to “escape.”

“It’s an extremely memorable experience,” said Escapology CEO Burton Heiss, whose company operates 105 locations worldwide.

“It’s 60 minutes off your phone using critical thinking and some communication, trying to solve puzzles,” he said.

The cost is $49.99 per adult, with lower rates for kids, and each game requires at least two paid tickets. All games are private.

Games include “Batman: The Dark Knight Challenge,” “Scooby-Doo and the Spooky Castle Adventure,” “Haunted House” and “7 Deadly Sins.”
