Northern California gambler wins nearly $400,000 at a poker table. Here’s where

A lucky player at a Northern California casino turned a $5 bet into a six-figure payout on Saturday.

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain announced Tuesday one of its guests won $394,331 in a progressive jackpot at a poker table at around midnight on Saturday, April 11.

The casino said the winner is Andrew Holley, a resident of Yuba City. Holley won his major jackpot at Hard Rock’s 777 Diamonds Poker Mega game, according to a news release from the casino.

“We are thrilled to congratulate our neighbor on his life-changing jackpot this weekend,” said Mark Birtha, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento president, in an emailed statement. “We certainly hope it made for an exciting weekend!”

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain is in Wheatland, at 3317 Forty Mile Road. The casino is about 30 miles north of downtown Sacramento.
