Broadway hit 'The Lost Boys' to launch North American tour

May 15 (UPI) -- Hit Broadway musical The Lost Boys is getting a North American tour.

Producers announced Friday that the tour will launch in Cleveland, Ohio, in spring 2028.

The Lost Boys is a comedy-horror musical based on the 1987 film directed by Joel Schumacher and starring Jason Patric, Corey Haim and Dianne Wiest.

The movie follows Michael (Patric) and Sam Emerson (Haim), brothers who discover their new home of Santa Carla, Calif., is infested with vampires.

The Broadway musical adaptation features music and lyrics by the Rescues and a book by David Hornsby and Chris Hoch. The production stars LJ Benet, Shoshana Bean and Ali Louis Bourzgui, and opened at the Palace Theatre in April.

The Lost Boys is nominated for 12 awards at this year's Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Featured Actress in a Musical for Bean and Best Featured Actor in a Musical for Bourzgui.
