All-American Rejects will play a free show in Sacramento tonight. How to see them
The Downtown Sacramento Partnership announced early Friday morning that this week’s Concerts in the Park would have a last-minute addition, with a huge marquee name.
Punk rock band The All-American Rejects are headlining the weekly summer concert series for tonight’s show at Cesar Chavez Plaza, 910 I St. in downtown Sacramento.
In an Instagram post, the Concerts in the Park organization revealed the major update, saying the group known for 2000s hits including “Gives You Hell” and “Dirty Little Secret” would play a free acoustic set as part of the Friday concert.
The band last played Sacramento during last year’s Aftershock festival at Discovery Park. On Saturday night, the group will play a concert at The Venue at Thunder Valley Casino Resort with opener Joyce Manor.
Tonight’s rock-themed Concerts in the Park show will also feature bands Tarnish, Say It Backwards, Nothing Special and NESSS.
The show starts at 6 p.m., and normally the last band ends by 9:30 p.m., but it was unclear as of Friday morning if the new addition would change the timing.
