'This Tempting Madness' and 6 other Simone Ashley roles

June 12 (UPI) -- Simone Ashley stars in This Tempting Madness, a new psychological thriller opening in select theaters and releasing on video-on-demand Friday.

The film follows Mia (Ashley), a woman who wakes up from a coma to find her husband arrested and the only suspect in her fall from a balcony. Struggling with memory loss, she must try to piece together what truly happened that night.

"As fragments of her past resurface, love, guilt and fear collide until she can no longer distinguish reality from fantasy," an official description reads.

Suraj Sharma and Austin Stowell also star.

Ashley's past credits include the Netflix hit Bridgerton, while her upcoming roles include a guest spot on the hit Hulu series Only Murders in the Building. Here's six other TV series and films starring the British actress.

'Bridgerton'

Ashley is best known for playing Kate Sharma on Bridgerton, the alt-history romance series based on the Julia Quinn novels.

Kate and her sister Edwina (Charithra Chandran) made their debut in Season 2, inspired by Quinn's book The Viscount Who Loved Me. The season follows Kate's unlikely romance with Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey).

Ashley reprised Kate in Season 3, which focused on Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton), and also returned in Season 4, which centered on Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha) and Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson).

Bridgerton is available to stream on Netflix.

'Picture This'

Romance fans can also catch Ashley in the romantic comedy Picture This, a reimagining of the Australian film Five Blind Dates.

Ashley plays Pia, a photographer who receives a prophecy that the love of her life will be one of her next five dates. The options end up converging around her sister Sonal's wedding.

Hero Fiennes Tiffin, Luke Fetherston, Sindhu Vee, Phil Dunster and Nikesh Patel also star in the movie, which is available to stream on Prime Video.

'Sex Education'

Ashley portrayed Olivia Hanan, a classmate of protagonist Otis Milburn (Asa Butterfield), in Seasons 1-3 of Sex Education. The teen comedy-drama follows Otis, the son of a famed sex therapist (Gillian Anderson), as he forms an informal sex education clinic at school.

Olivia, who begins the series as part of the popular clique known as "The Untouchables," later starts a relationship with fellow student Malek (Armin Karima).

Ncuti Gatwa, Emma Mackey, Connor Swindells and Aimee Lou Wood also star in the show, which concluded in 2023 after four seasons.

Sex Education is available to stream on Netflix.

'The Devil Wears Prada 2'

Ashley joins Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci in The Devil Wears Prada 2, a sequel to the hit 2006 film based on the Lauren Weisberger novel.

The actress plays Amari Mari, the assistant to Runway magazine editor-in-chief Miranda Priestly (Streep), a position held by Andy Sachs (Hathaway) in the first movie.

The sequel follows Andy as she returns to Runway as the magazine faces an uncertain future.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 opened in theaters in May.

'Only Murders in the Building'

Hulu announced Wednesday that Ashley will guest star in Only Murders in the Building Season 6, which brings the show to London.

Other guest stars include Catastrophe creator and star Sharon Horgan, Absolutely Fabulous star Jennifer Saunders, Sean Teale (Skins), Amar Chadha-Patel (The Decameron), Rhea Norwood (Heartstopper) and Matthew Beard (Funny Woman).

Only Murders in the Building is a comedy-drama series starring Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez as New York neighbors who initially bond while investigating a murder in their apartment building.

Hulu has yet to announce a premiere date for the new season.

'Peaked'

The upcoming comedy film directed by and starring Molly Gordon (Theater Camp) will reunite Ashley with her Sex Education co-star Emma Mackey.

Other cast members include Connor Storrie, Owen Thiele, Laura Dern, Amy Sedaris and Grammy-winning singer Dua Lipa.

Hailing from A24, Peaked stars Gordon and Mackey as two friends who try to relive their glory days at their 10-year high school reunion.

The movie has yet to receive a release date.
