Arrest Warrant Issued for Bill Belichick's Daughter-in-Law After Missed Court Date
An arrest warrant has been issued for Bill Belichick‘s daughter-in-law.
Jennifer Schmitt Belichick, who is the wife of Bill's son Steve Belichick, failed to appear for a scheduled court appearance, which led to a Brunswick District Court judge in North Carolina issuing an arrest warrant on Monday, July 13, PEOPLE reports. The hearing was due to a traffic violation that occured on May 21 around 5:43 p.m where Jen allegedly drove 88 mph in a 70 mph zone.
According to court records obtained and reviewed by the outlet, officials attempted to contact Jen on the phone after she missed the hearing, but they have been unable to reach her.
A court official who spoke with the California Post said that Jen has a few options to resolve this issue: "She can file a motion to recall the order, hire an attorney to handle the matter for her, or turn herself in."
Jen and Steve have been married since 2017. The two moved to North Carolina after Bill took the head coaching job at the University of North Carolina and hired his son to serve as the defensive coordinator. Steve previously worked with Bill on the New England Patriots' coaching staff from 2012 to 2023.
Jen has made headlines over the last few years, specifically regarding Bill's relationship with Jordon Hudson, who is 25-years-old. She criticized Hudson for her behavior during Bill's infamous CBSSunday Morning interview. Comedian Nikki Glaser came to Hudson's defense, saying that she was just acting as Bill's publicist, but Jen fired back.
"Publicists act professionally and don't ‘storm' off set, delaying an interview," Jen wrote on Instagram at the time.
She then reportedly went on a "nearly hour-long profanity-laced tirade" following one of UNC's games in 2025.
