Funny homecoming for comedian Key Lewis
He got his start at Laughs Unlimited, and now he’s returning for three nights of shows.
Comedian Key Lewis first explored standup by taking classes at the Old Sacramento comedy club in 2003. Since then, he has performed on stages around the U.S. and on BET, Starz and TBS. Known for his storytelling and improv, Lewis told The Bee that growing up all over Sacramento helps him create characters from a range of backgrounds. He’s particularly skilled at accents. “I can do Hindus, Russian guys,” he said. “Sacramento, that’s a melting pot. Sac’s got everything.” (8 and 10:30 tonight and Saturday; 7 p.m. Sunday; $10-$20; 1207 Front St., Sacramento; 916-446-5905).
