Sacramento Bastille Day Waiters’ Race serves up fast-paced fun
Bastille Day is the French equivalent of July Fourth, and Sacramento celebrates it with the Bastille Day Waiters’ Race. Now in its seventh year, the annual competition returns on Sunday, July 10. Watch as local servers speed walk around a course while balancing glasses and bottles on trays, trying not spill or break anything. Food, beverages and complimentary samples from various Handle District restaurants will be available. This event will take place at 1801 L St., Sacramento from 3 to 6 p.m.; the race begins at 3:30 p.m. Attendance is free. Jenice Tupolo
