Playwright steps into play at B Street

B Street Theatre has made two notable replacements of lead actors for the last week of its main stage holiday romance “Handle with Care.”

Stepping in from New York are the play’s author Jason Odell Williams as the lonely widower Josh, and Sheffield Chastain will play his hapless pal Terrance.

Williams is is an Emmy-nominated writer and producer.

Sheffield did the role of Terrance in New York in the off Broadway production at the Westside Theatre.

The story of “Handle with Care” concerns the plight of a young Israeli woman named Ayelet played by Stepahnie Altholz who has travelled to America with her granmother Edna played by Eve Sigall.
