For Sacramento skaters, the holidays are ice

The Downtown Sacramento Holiday Ice Rink at the corner of Seventh and K streets will operate well into January.

Skaters will find special hours for Friday, Jan. 1, 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Then it’s 2-8 p.m., Mondays-Thursdays; 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Fridays-Saturdays and 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Sundays. (Exceptions: Saturday, Jan. 9, the rink closes at 7:45 p.m., and Closing Day, Monday, Jan. 18, when the rink opens at 10 a.m.)

Sessions are 105 minutes long; $8, children under 4, $2; skates and more are available to rent. www.godowntownsac.com/icerink.
