Crowds turn out again for Museum Day in Sacramento
Nearly 50,000 people attended a museum or other participating destinations Saturday for the 18th annual Sacramento Museum Day, organizers said Monday.
Twenty-six museums and destinations hosted took part. Most offered free admission, while the Sacramento Zoo and Fairytale Town charged half-price.
All told, 49,054 people attended.
The top five destinations on Museum Day were:
- California State Railroad Museum (9,339 visitors)
- Sacramento Zoo (5,289)
- Aerospace Museum of California (5,241)
- California State Capitol Museum (3,400)
- California Automobile Museum (3,194)
