Tasiilaq a colorful hamlet in Greenland
The photographer: Lou Padgug of Sacramento
Behind the lens: We recently completed a cruise of the North Atlantic from Edinburgh, Scotland to Norway, Iceland and Greenland. Our port in Greenland was the town of Tasiilaq. With just over 2,000 inhabitants, it is the most populous community on the eastern coast, and the seventh-largest town in Greenland. The fog and low clouds obscured the surrounding mountains but accentuated the remoteness of this town.
