Royal Caribbean adds new perk for suite guests
Splurging on a suite for a Royal Caribbean cruise comes with an array of high-end perks, and for cruisers staying in the most lavish suites, the benefits just got a little better.
Royal Caribbean offers three suite class tiers: Sea, Sky, and Star, each offering luxury amenities in spacious accommodations plus priority boarding and other coveted perks.
"Suites are one of the first types of cruise ship cabins to sell out on any sailing because of how limited they are and how many people value staying in a room that gets all those benefits," said Royal Caribbean cruise expert Matt Hochberg of fan blog Royal Caribbean Blog.
Suite benefits increase tremendously at higher tier levels, but all three tiers offer access to one desirable dining privilege. And for those cruising in Sky and Star Class suites, that special dining perk just got sweeter.

Royal Caribbean Sky and Star Class suite guests can now bring friends to Coastal Kitchen
Suite guests sailing on Royal Caribbean cruise ships have long enjoyed exclusive access to Coastal Kitchen, a private restaurant that serves an elevated menu that leans into Mediterranean and seasonal California flavors. Now, that exclusivity is getting a carefully managed tweak that benefits suite guests sailing with larger groups of family and friends.
Royal Caribbean is expanding access to Coastal Kitchen, allowing Sky and Star Class suite guests to invite friends or family members who aren't booked in suites to dine together with them - for a fee.
Royal Caribbean Senior Vice President of Sales, Trade Support and Service Vicki Freed revealed details of the new benefit during a travel advisor webinar on June 17, 2026, as reported by Royal Caribbean Blog.
How to invite non-suite guests to Coastal Kitchen
Only guests staying in Sky Class and Star Class suites are eligible to extend Coastal Kitchen invites to other passengers and the number of invites available varies by suite class tier. Star Class suite guests are permitted to invite up to four non-suite guests per meal, and Sky Class guests are allowed to invite up to two non-suite guests per meal. In both cases, invited guests must dine together with the suite guest, and access is subject to availability at the restaurant.
Those sailing in entry-level Sea Class suites receive dinner-only access to Coastal Kitchen, based on availability, and aren't eligible to extend invites.

To secure access to Coastal Kitchen for non-suite guests, Star Class passengers can make a request through their Royal Genie before the sailing or once on board. Requests may also be made through the suite concierge or Coastal Kitchen manager. Sky Class suite guests can make requests through the suite concierge or directly with the Coastal Kitchen manager.
Given the intimate restaurant's limited capacity, guests hoping to dine with non-suite companions should make sure to request access early.
What does Coastal Kitchen cost for invited non-suite guests?
While Coastal Kitchen meals are complimentary for suite guests, charges apply for non-suite guests. Fees for invited non-suite guests are charged to the onboard account of the inviting suite guest.
The new benefit comes with a tiered pricing structure based on the meal. Breakfast is priced at $15 per person, lunch at $20 per person, and dinner at $25 per person for invited non-suite guests.

Guests traveling with families with children will find some relief in the pricing. Invited children ages six and younger may dine free of charge, while children ages seven to 12 are charged $15 per meal.
An 18% gratuity and value-added tax (VAT) may also apply depending on the sailing.
Top-tier Pinnacle Club members of Royal Caribbean's Crown & Anchor Society loyalty program may also dine in Coastal Kitchen based on availability.
What makes Coastal Kitchen worth sharing
Coastal Kitchen's menu features Mediterranean-inspired dishes and farm-fresh seasonal flavors from California, paired with an extensive wine selection that highlights regions such as Napa Valley and Tuscany.
"Coastal Kitchen fuses Mediterranean influences with the unmatched riches of California's bountiful farmlands. This is a destination that exudes pure freshness," Royal Caribbean states in its website description of Coastal Kitchen.

The restaurant offers elevated versions of main dining room classics like escargot and French onion soup as well as featured dishes like burrata, roasted branzino, and blueberry pie.
The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner in an intimate setting with menus rotating throughout each sailing.
Access to Coastal Kitchen has long been considered one of the most valuable perks included in a suite fare. The new guest policy doesn't dilute that appeal so much as allow suite guests to share a bit of the beloved experience.
