Sweaty Betty Base Layers
Around $90; sweatybetty.com
“Flattering” and “thermal” don’t usually go together when speaking of base layers for your snow adventures. Even the basic black has some tasteful piping.

MagnaReady Shirt
$64; magnaready.com
These shirts are being marketed to the silver-haired crowd, probably assuming their arthritis or failing fine-motor skills makes it hard to button shirts. But, really, since toddlerhood, we’ve always struggled. These look like standard Oxford button-down shirts, except the eight buttons (plus cuffs) are magnetized. They simply snap on. Brilliant.
