Mother Lode Daffodil Show blooms in Murphys
The 21st annual Mother Lode Daffodil Show will come to Ironstone Vineyards from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 19, and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 20.
The vineyard is located in Calaveras County, famed for its premier wine selection and spectacular natural vistas – including miles of landscape blooming with daffodils.
The show itself will feature ornate horticulture exhibits, artistic designs and arrangement competitions, featuring daffodils of every breed and hue. Horticulture experts will offer guided tours.
The event is free to the public.

Persian New Year
What: Celebrate the Persian New Year, or Chahar-Shanbeh Souri, a traditional ceremony held on the last Tuesday of every winter. As the sun sets, bonfires will be lit and attendees will have the opportunity to jump over the flames – a ritual that symbolizes shaking off winter and embracing the lightness of spring.
