It’s Gold Rush time again in Angels Camp
Take a trip back in time during Living History Days in Calaveras County’s historic Angels Camp.
The museum there will re-create Gold Rush-era life with a realistic carpenter, print and textile shop. Docents will be on hand to offer an in-depth look back in history and to demonstrate traditional crafts.
The Saturday, April 9, event is ideal for families. Museum doors open at 10 a.m. and close at 4 p.m.
The event, which will return on the second Saturday of May (the 14th), is free with the cost of admission.

Congressional Cup
What: Enjoy a day of world-class sailing at the Long Beach Yacht Club. Hundreds of professional sailors will gather for an intense race while attendees watch from the waterfront Belmont Veteran Memorial Pier.

‘The Godfather’ Live in Concert
What: Join thousands to see Francis Ford Coppola’s masterpiece “The Godfather” at the San Jose Center for the Performing Arts. The show will feature the Symphony Silicon Valley performing the soundtrack for the film.

Wildflower Train
What: View the blooming wildflowers of Tuolumne County on the historic Jamestown locomotive. After a video presentation, passengers will embark on a 6-mile ride through the meadows and rolling hills of the Gold Country.

Barrels by the Bay
What: The Humboldt County Fairgrounds will host the annual Barrels by the Bay barrel racing rodeo event. Make a trip to the shores of nearby Centerville Beach, then head to the racing grounds to enjoy the show.
