This product’s name – Pull Start Fire – may sound like it was developed by our Neanderthal ancestors, but that’s a good thing. Because the name is the same as the directions for use. Next time you’re camping out and want to start a fire, it might behoove you to have this box of instant fire around to move things along. Here’s how it works: You put this 5-inch-by-1-inch block of explosive material on your firewood, looping the green string around one log and then, when secure, pull on the red string. Voila! Fire (and a loud firecracker type noise). The manufacturer says it burns for at least 30 minutes and can withstand 200-mph winds.
