Summer House's Jesse Says Kyle Was 'Angry' About Amanda and West's Makeout

Summer House's Jesse Solomon has spilled the tea on all things Amanda Batula and West Wilson.

During a Tuesday, April 21, appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, Jesse shed insight into the controversial romance between Amanda, 34, and West, 31, including how Amanda's ex-husband Kyle Cooke feels about the relationship. (Amanda and Kyle, 43, announced their separation in January after four years of marriage.)

"Kyle's good, all things considered, but he's starting to get angry and upset, especially, like, seeing them make out on the Yankees' broadcast," Jesse told Cohen, 57, referring to Amanda and West packing on the PDA at a New York City baseball game on Friday, April 17, as televised via Kiss Cam.

Jesse also revealed that both Amanda and West had lied to him about their romance in the lead-up to confirming it via a joint Instagram statement on March 31. "I had my suspicions but I did not know until they made their joint statement. They both denied it to my face multiple times," Jesse said on the show.

He added that while he had suspicions from "late February into March," Amanda and himself had spoken "for two hours" and failed to confess. "She lied about the whole situation," Jesse said. "But [she] texted me apologizing, saying, ‘I'm sorry that I lied to you.'"

Jesse was also asked by Cohen where he stood with West, revealing that West had not apologized for lying. "The trust is a little broken," Jesse reflected to Cohen.

Later, a question from the WWHL crowd dug deeper into Jesse's current dynamic with former best friend West, rehashing how West once called Jesse out for asking his permission to pursue his ex and fellow Summer House star Ciara Miller.

"It was frustrating a little bit that West would call me out for trying to pursue somebody he dated two years ago and now he's hooking up with our friend's wife," Jesse responded.

Amanda and West's Instagram statement was shared weeks after whispers of a romance began circulating online. "We've seen the growing online speculation, so while this is still very new, we wanted to provide some clarity," the statement read. "It was never our intention to purposely hide anything. Given the complicated relationship dynamics involved and the scrutiny that comes with being on a reality show, we needed a little space to process things privately before speaking on it."

The revelation drew backlash due to West previously dating Ciara, who is also Amanda's best friend, in 2023.

Jesse said on Tuesday that he and Ciara, 30, both had a sense that something was going on between Amanda and West before they went public.

"Ciara and I were both suspicious leading up to it, so I was in touch with her," Jesse said. "She was like, ‘Just wait for the reunion,' but then everything came out." (Us Weekly reported that the season 10 Summer Housereunion will film "mid-April." An air date has not yet been announced.)

Us reported earlier on Tuesday that Ciara is still hoping to get clarity on Amanda and West's romance, with a source revealing that "she still feels betrayed and hurt. She feels betrayed because of the fact that she was a good friend to Amanda and now has to look back to see that her best friend betrayed her with her ex."

The insider added that Ciara, who dated West from 2023 to 2024 but spoke in episode 7 of Summer House this year about a February "attraction" that lingered, is hoping for "answers" and "accountability" from the pair at the reunion.
