Maren Morris Says She Got ‘Spam' Text Invite to Taylor Swift's Wedding

Even Maren Morrisis awaiting details about her friend and collaborator Taylor Swift's upcoming wedding to Travis Kelce.

"I wish [I had information to share]," Morris, 36, said on a recent episode of SiriusXM's The Morning Mash Up. "I got this, like, spam text a couple weeks ago. It was like, ‘You're invited to Taylor and Travis' wedding.'"

Morris immediately realized the message was junk and blocked the unknown caller from further contacting her.

"I was like, ‘I'm blocking this,' ‘cause there's no way they would send an invitation through a text like this," Morris said. "What if I trashed [the actual one]? I was like, ‘How do they have my number? This is weird.'"

Swift, 36, and Morris have been close pals since 2018, even duetting on "You All Over Me" from Swift's 2021 album Fearless (Taylor's Version).

Swift and Kelce, also 36, got engaged in August 2025 after two years of dating. The couple have remained mum about specific details when it comes to wedding planning.

"I'm just doing the album thing now, which is a big thing," Swift said on an October 2025 episode of The Graham Norton Show, referring to her Life of a Showgirl promotional tour. "I think the wedding is what happens after that in the scheme of the planning, but I'm so excited about it."

She continued, "I know it's gonna be fun to plan because I think the only stressful weddings are the ones where you have a small amount and people are on the bubble."

While Swift admitted that she was never one to fantasize about her dream wedding, she is looking forward to her future with Kelce.

"He's just my favorite person I've ever met - no offense to everyone else," Swift gushed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon later in October 2025. "The fact that this is the person that I get to hang out with every day forever … that's the whole thing of it. You look at [the engagement ring] and you're like, ‘I get to hang out with him forever,' and this represents that."

As for their big day, a source recently told Us Weeklythat Swift and Kelce don't intend to have "a huge wedding."

"They've gone back and forth between inviting everyone and keeping it small and private," the insider told Us last month. "As of now, they've scaled it down. It's no longer going to be a massive blowout."
