Pete Davidson Makes Brutal Joke About Charlie Kirk's Death at Netflix Roast
Pete Davidsonwas totally unfiltered during Kevin Hart‘s Netflix roast, even making a joke about Charlie Kirk's assassination.
"Tony is here looking like both a child molester and the doll they give the child to show where he touched them," Davidson, 32, said while poking fun at fellow comedian Tony Hinchcliffe during Netflix's The Roast of Kevin Hart on Sunday, May 10. "Tony reminds me of Charlie Kirk, in that he's definitely been on camera letting a guy unload in his throat."
Davidson kept the digs coming despite the surprised reaction from the audience.
"Oh, you don't know me? Kill Tony. Please someone f**ing kill Tony," he added. "Tony, nothing you say tonight will hurt my feelings. I was in a beef with Kanye, so I've taken shots from better gay Nazis."
Kirk, a conservative commentator, was fatally shot in September 2025 while speaking at Utah Valley University. He was 31.
"It's with a heavy heart that we, the Turning Point USA leadership team, write to notify you that early this afternoon, Charlie went to his eternal reward with Jesus Christ in Heaven," Kirk's Turning Point USA organization said in a statement at the time.
Before his death, Charlie welcomed a daughter and a son with wife Erika Kirk in 2022 and 2024, respectively.
President Donald Trump shared his condolences in a statement released via the White House's X account, "The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead. No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie."
Trump continued: "He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us. Melania and my Sympathies go out to his beautiful wife Erika, and family. Charlie, we love you!"
Other celebrities also paid their respects. Chris Pratt wrote via X, "Praying for Charlie Kirk right now, for his wife and young children, for our country. We need God's grace. God help us," while Candace Cameron Bure wrote, "We love you, Charlie. Well done, good and faithful servant."
After a two-day manhunt, law enforcement announced that a suspected shooter, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, was in police custody. He was charged with aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm, obstruction of justice and witness tampering. He has yet to enter a plea.
Charlie's wife, Erika, 37, has since taken over as CEO and chairperson of his organization. She later opened up about navigating her grief following Charlie's death.
"There is no linear blueprint for grief. One day you're collapsed on the floor crying out the name Jesus in between labored breaths," she wrote via Instagram in October 2025. "The next you're playing with your children in the living rooms surrounded by family photos, and feeling a rush of something you can only attempt to define as divinely planted and bittersweet joy as a smile breaks through your face."
Erika continued: "They say time heals. But love doesn't ask to be healed. Love asks to be remembered. It's humbling to realize that this magnitude of suffering didn't steal my love for my husband. It amplified it. It crystallized it."
