The dish: In celebration of fresh cranberries available again locally, I attempted my first cranberry upside-down cake, using Alice Waters’ (owner of famed restaurant Chez Panisse) recipe. I followed the recipe closely (I added orange zest to the cranberries) and the cake turned out delicious, a wonderful springboard to fall baking.
