If Skittles and Starbursts just don’t pack enough punch for your taste, Mars Inc. has a treat for you.
The candy company plans to roll out Skittles Sweet Heat and Starburst Sweet Heat in December, featuring “fruity flavors with a spicy kick.” Mars Inc. announced the new products at the National Confectioners Association Sweets & Snacks Expo in Chicago this week.
The candymaker has unveiled plans for several other new products for 2017, according to a company press release. They include new caramel, white chocolate and strawberry nut flavor M&Ms, along with dark chocolate Twix bars, hazelnut Snickers bars and several candy-flavored ice cream bars.

But the plan to spice up Skittles and Starburst drew most of the attention online, with reactions from “I’m here for those spicy skittles” to “Whoever approved the creation of spicy Skittles and Starburst, God will deal with you…”
