Florez Bar & Grill closed for two days after a staff member tested positive for COVID-19, the Sacramento Mexican restaurant announced on Facebook Monday.

After learning of the positive test, the restaurant closed for two days and enlisted an outside company to sanitize the facility, the post said.

“We apologize for any stress and anxiety this may cause and just know that we are committed to making sure we offer a safe environment for everyone,” the restaurant wrote. “The trust, health and happiness of our employees and community we serve is essential to us.”

The bar and grill reopened Tuesday with curbside takeout. Patio service will reopen next week.

Sacramento-area restaurants have been barred from serving customers indoors since July 2 amid rising COVID-19 case counts in the Sacramento region. As of Monday morning, the virus has infected over 11,000 residents in the Sacramento area and left 147 dead.
