See it: Chipotle Mexican Grill opens new restaurant called Farmesa

Chipotle Mexican Grill opened a new restaurant Wednesday called Farmesa, which will serve salmon, whipped potatoes and other items not found at its main eateries.

Unless you’re in Southern California, you may have to wait to try it out. Farmesa is opening at Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica, California.

“Farmesa is a fresh, bold concept featuring delicious proteins, greens, grains and vegetables that are inspired by Chipotle’s Food with Integrity standards,” the company said in a news release.

The Santa Monica restaurant held a soft open with a limited menu and shortened hours. It’s expected to fully open next month.

Farmesa menu for pickup or delivery

Its menu is available for pickup or delivery, according to the news release. Farmesa will serve a variety of bowls ranging in price from $11.95 to $16.95. Each bowl will feature a protein, green or grain, two sides, a choice of five sauces and a topping option.

The menu was curated by Chef Nate Appleman, Chipotle’s director of culinary innovation.
