Famous hot chicken spot adds third Sacramento-area location. Here’s where and when it opens

Dave’s Hot Chicken will open another location in the Sacramento area Friday, making a total of three spots in the area.

The restaurant, known for its spicy chicken tenders and sliders, started off as a Hollywood pop-up in 2017, according to a company news release. It has since hatched more than 700 franchise locations across the country and Canada.

Dave’s is still expanding with 60 more locations this year, including one in Fair Oaks in the Madison Marketplace, at 8810 Madison Ave.

It opens Friday and will feature a drive-thru, indoor seating and artwork inspired by Sacramento.

Mitch Wolf, director of marketing at Dave’s Hot Chicken, said customers can expect a fairly large crowd.

“Every opening is unique,” he said, but typically there long lines of people due to social media postings.

Regular hours are 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., Sunday to Thursday, and 10:30 a.m. to midnight, Friday and Saturday.

Dave’s Hot Chicken is also at 3409 Arden Way in Arden Arcade, and in Folsom at 2379 Iron Point Rd. Suite 100.
