Map shows downtown Sacramento bars serving up Kings spirit. Where is the best drink?
Sacramento Kings spirit is everywhere in the city, and it’s spilling onto downtown bar countertops.
Several bars across the city are serving up purple-hued cocktails — an ode to the team’s laser beam that shoots into the sky for every win.
This season, the Kings have been on a winning-streak and now they’re headed to the playoffs for the first time since 2006, ending a 16-year drought. The team is the seventh team in the NBA and the third in the Western Conference to win a spot in the playoffs.
The games kick off on April 15 and the first round will be in Sacramento’s Golden 1 Center.
Whether you’re looking to pregame before the showdown or want to toast to the Kings with a Beam-themed drink, here’s where to go in downtown area:
To keep this list short, we highlighted restaurants and bars serving cocktails inspired by the Kings in the downtown area, in no particular order. Prices are listed when available.
This list excludes breweries and establishments outside of the grid. If we missed your favorite spot, let us know at servicejournalists@sacbee.com.
