Outdoor ‘foodie’ festival returns to Sacramento in May. It’s bringing over 150 vendors

FoodieLand Night Market will return to Sacramento next month, bringing food, entertainment and games to Cal Expo for three weekends.

FoodieLand is a multicultural food and entertainment event, according to Cal Expo’s website. The outdoor festival travels across California and to Las Vegas.

It will bring more than 150 vendors, serving food and offering games, arts and crafts.

The first weekend of the festival runs from May 12 to 14.

Later dates include, according to the event’s website:

  • Labor Day weekend, Sept. 1 to 3
  • Sept. 29 to Oct. 1.

Here are the hours:

  • Fridays, 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Saturdays, 1 p.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Sundays, 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Food vendors include Aki Takoyaki, Birrieria Michi, De’Crepes and Koun Khmer BBQ. There’s a wide variety of dessert vendors that offer Hawaiian ice, donuts, ice cream and banana pudding.

There will also be retailers selling jewelry, candles, clothing and crafts.

How much are tickets to Foodieland?

Admission starts at $5 online for all ages. Parking is $10.

Tickets won’t be sold at the door. You’ll have to purchase tickets based on entry time but you can stay for the rest of the day.
