This new Sacramento-area beer garden has wine, food and pool. What’s on the menu?

What's opening in the Sacramento area

You can knock back a cold one (or a couple) at one of the newest beer destination in the Sacramento region: Placerville Biergarten.

The rustic beer garden located in El Dorado County is inside a historic building constructed in the 1800s, according to its Facebook page, but its drinks selection is far from dated.

Placerville Biergarten is stacked with an extensive list of local wines and craft beer including tap and bottled IPAs, stouts and lagers.

The moderately priced menu ranges from a $5.50 bowl of potato salad or a bowl of nuts to a $18.75 deli meat and cheese plate. There are also sausages, salads, deli and panini sandwiches as well as three types of stuffed baked potatoes.

The pub announced its official opening Friday on its Instagram but it’s unclear exactly when it began operating. Owners did not immediately respond to an email from The Bee, and no business phone number was listed.

The bar is located inside the restaurant along with a foosball and pool table. There’s also ample seating on the outdoor patio.
