Looking to take mom out for a last minute special dinner this Mother’s Day? Sacramento offers any number of places where you can treat her.

With brunch reservations no longer an option at many restaurants, OpenTable, the restaurant reservation website, has released a list of dinner spots still accepting reservations for Sunday, May 10.

Il Fornaio

Il Fornaio in downtown Sacramento is renowned for its authentic, award-winning Italian cuisine, premium wine selections and craft cocktails. Whether you are enjoying a creamy Vodka rigatoni or deep-fried baby squid, this Italian restaurant is ready to make mom feel special.

The 7th Street Standard

If mom loves “eclectic contemporary California cuisine” then The 7th Street Standard in downtown Sacramento is the place to take her for dinner. The restaurant offers a refined yet hearty menu that includes seared market fish, bone-in pork milanese and cast iron roasted chicken.

“Our carefully curated and seasonally rotating farm-to-fork dishes represent a melting pot of flavors and dishes featuring products sourced from local farmers and ranchers,” according to the restaurant’s website.

Frog & Slim

Frog & Slim in downtown Sacramento is offering a specially curated prix fixe Mother’s Day dinner menu. Frog & Slim’s offerings include pan seared sirloin, pesto lasagna and fried arancini. The menu also features a choice of dessert of either dark chocolate pot de creme or strawberry lemon cake. The fixed price menu for a starter plus a main course and bread is $75 per person.
