California Pint Day is Friday, July 17. Here’s what to know

In 2025, the California Craft Brewers Association (CCBA) launched the first California Pint Day celebration.

Now in its second year, breweries across the state will sell their beers in special, limited-edition glasses to raise money for the Brewers Association. For each sale, $2 will be donated to the CCBA.

CCBA is a nonprofit trade association based in Sacramento. According to its website, the association acts “as the voice for the state’s craft brewers in the State Capitol, monitoring legislation and advocating on behalf of the industry.”

California Pint Day is also the first day of California Craft Beer Week, where breweries will host events “from trivia nights and morning yoga to live music from local artists and special beer releases,” according to its website. California Craft Beer Week will take place from July 17 to July 26.

Several Sacramento-area breweries will be taking part in the Pint Day fundraiser. They include Urban Roots Brewing and Smokehouse and Fieldwork Brewing in Sacramento, Moksa Brewing Co. in Rocklin, Auburn Alehouse, Two Ass Brewing Company, and Crooked Lane Brewing Company in Auburn, as well as Moonraker Brewing Company, which has locations in both Auburn and Cameron Park.

This year’s and last year’s commemorative California Pint Day glass was designed by local artist Kilian McMann, the owner of Great Raven Design Co. This year’s design features a soccer theme, in honor of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
