Panera's Celebration of Taylor Swift's Wedding is Making Fans' Wildest Dreams Come True
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce tied the knot over the weekend, and fans can't get enough of their massive Madison Square Garden wedding. It turns out, Panera is just as obsessed with the wedding as the rest of us.
With Adam Sandler officiating and dozens of celebrities in attendance, the wedding has become the talk of the internet. To celebrate the newlyweds, the café is hosting a giveaway that Swifties won't want to miss.
"It's been a long time coming, and Panera is toasting the recent internet-breaking Loaf Story along with something for fellow bread lovers everywhere," the company said in a statement shared with Parade. "From the brand who thinks about bread 100% of the time, Panera knows all too well that no loaf story is complete without sourdough."
On July 9, participating cafés in the US will give away 13 sourdough loaves - first-come, first-served. The number is a nod to Swift herself.
"I was born on the 13th," Swift said in a 2009 interview with MTV News. "I turned 13 on Friday the 13th. My first album Taylor Swift went gold in 13 weeks. My first #1 song had a 13-second intro. Every time I've won an award I've been seated in either the 13th seat, the 13th row, the 13th section or row M, which is the 13th letter. Basically, whenever a 13 comes up in my life, it's a good thing."
Fans quickly flocked to Panera's comment section on Instagram to share their excitement for the Swift-themed giveaway.
"It's a loaf story baby just say yes," one fan joked, putting a twist on Swift's song "Love Story."
"LOAFING HIM WAS BREAD," Panera replied.
"I'm sooo breadddy to get mine," another said.
Swift's wedding took place on July 3, around 7:30 p.m. (ET). The black-tie event hosted a rumored 1,000 guests, including actors such as Hugh Grant, Paul Rudd and Selena Gomez. Find our wedding coverage here.
