Take Your Best Shot: A versatile weeknight dish

Shakshuka
Shakshuka

The photographer: Ally Gaffan of Sacramento

The dish: Weeknight cooking is always hard. This is a pretty easy recipe to throw together and only takes one pan. It’s called shakshuka and originates from North Africa. It mainly consists of spices, tomato sauce and poached eggs. We serve it all kinds of ways – with pita for dipping, over rice and even over ground beef. Even the kids like it!
