Sacramento Beer Week is back for its 15th year. What’s on the schedule?

The 15th annual Sacramento Beer Week kicked off Friday with more than 50 beer-focused events scheduled through the first weekend of May.

Local breweries and taprooms around the capital region have car shows, live music and other more unique events planned during the 10-day festival, put on by the Sacramento Area Brewers Guild.

One of the opening events of this year’s festival is the fifth annual awards ceremony for the Brewers Cup of California, crowning the best craft beer in the state.

The 2025 Brewers Cup of California ceremony starts at 7:30 p.m. Friday and will be live-streamed on YouTube.

Traditional bar activities like trivia, live music, karaoke and speed dating are on the schedule, but some participants are going all out — hosting black-light parties, hot wing challenges, pop-up markets and more.

If you’ve been thinking of adding a new furry friend to your family, head to Jackrabbit Brewing in West Sacramento, Moksa Brewing Co. in Rocklin or Movement Brewing Co. in Rancho Cordova on Saturday and Sunday for pet adoption fairs.

Movement Brewing Co. has more unique experiences on the calendar, including a cookie decorating class on Monday, a “Bend + Brews” yoga class on Tuesday and a pop-up bookstore on Sunday, May 4.

Peruse a flower-themed market and catch a drag show on Saturday, May 3, at Drake’s: The Barn in West Sacramento.

At the end of the festival, Alaro Craft Brewery in Midtown is having a “grand finale” Cinco de Mayo-themed brunch on May 4.

You can find all scheduled Beer Week events on the Sacramento Beer Week website and on participating breweries’ websites.
