Dad’s on J, the second location of Dad’s Sandwiches, has closed and will reopen as a falafel shop. A sign on the front door of the restaurant, near 10th and J streets in Sacramento, marked the closure Monday.

The new owner of the location, Saif Aslam, said the restaurant will open as a franchise of Falafel Corner within two weeks. The Falafel Corner will serve middle eastern food and halal meat, Aslam said, and the menu will feature platters, wraps and burgers.

This will be Falafel Corner’s second location. Its first location is in Natomas.

The owners of Dad’s Sandwiches were not immediately available for comment.
