All-you-can-eat Korean barbecue restaurant opens in prominent North Natomas shopping center

Daikon Korean BBQ opened Monday in Natomas’ The Village at Sacramento Gateway shopping center, the all-you-can-eat restaurant announced on Instagram.

Photos from Daikon’s soft openings showed a range of banchan (Korean side dishes) plus seafood and meats such as bulgogi, galbi and pork belly. The basic all-you-can-eat menu is $26.99 per adult, while a “supreme” with more options and dessert costs $34.99. Kids ages 4 to 10 can order off either for $13.99.

Partners Minnie Nguyen and Trinh Le also own Station 8 Burgers in The Bank, Station 16 Seafood Restaurant & Bar, Station 38 Coffee and both Firehouse Crawfish locations. Daikon replaced Mizu sushi buffet, which closed in 2018, at 3636 N. Freeway Blvd.

Daikon will open at 3 p.m. every day this week, closing at 10 p.m. through Thursday and at midnight Friday and Saturday, according to the post. It’ll open for lunch in the coming weeks.

Nguyen, the executive chef, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
