Folsom restaurant/craft coffee shop closes permanently, citing coronavirus hardships
Folsom cafe and restaurant Lucille’s Coffee Hops & Vine has permanently closed due to economic maladies stemming from the coronavirus pandemic, its owners announced Monday on Facebook.
Stacey and Ron Conway opened Lucille’s at 25055 Blue Ravine Road, Suite 100 in 2018. Located in a shopping center near Folsom Point anchored by a Raley’s grocery store, the coffee shop hadn’t been open since the statewide shelter-in-place order was issued in mid-March.
“We are sadly just another casualty of small businesses being affected by this pandemic. We wanted to personally thank all of our amazing staff members that have put their hearts and souls into Lucille’s for the past 2 years, what a special place we created for our neighborhood!” the Conways wrote.
“We would also like to thank each and every person that supported our little coffee shop, with all the choices out there, it made us smile to see so many people feeling at home with us! We will truly miss all of you!”
Lucille’s served brews by Santa Cruz-based Verve Coffee Roasters alongside food such as jalapeno egg bites, housemade hummus and a variety of sandwiches. Several of Lucille’s menu items have been moved to the Conways’ other restaurant at the other end of the shopping center, Folsom Tap House & Kitchen, which is open for dine-in and takeout.
More than a dozen Sacramento-area restaurants have publicly announced they won’t reopen after shelter-in-place orders were issued in March. To see a complete list, go here.
