Old Folsom restaurant closing temporarily after employee tests positive for COVID-19
Old Folsom gastropub Marly And Moo will close for the next few weeks after an employee tested positive for COVID-19, the restaurant posted on Facebook on Tuesday.
“Despite our best efforts and following protocol to the fullest put out by the CDC and OSHA, it has been confirmed that one of our employees has tested positive for COVID(-)19,” the post read.
“We will continue to clean and sanitize all surfaces as we have been since our reopening. We have also hired a (third-)party cleaning crew that specializes in these cleaning procedures ... we decided to share this information with the public because we believe in being honest, and also believe that the health and safety of our community is a top priority.”
Brian Knadle opened Marly and Moo in 2016 at 608 Sutter St. and continues to serve as the two-story gastropub’s executive chef. Knadle is also an investor in Cacio, the Pocket bistro run by husband-and-wife Jonathan Kerksieck and Katie Kinner-Kerksieck.
Marly and Moo offered dine-in service until doing so was banned throughout Sacramento County last week. The restaurant was closed Saturday through Monday for Independence Day weekend, but had been scheduled to reopen for outdoor patio seating and takeout Tuesday.
