Chicken chain Raising Cane’s to open first Sacramento-area location at month’s end
Raising Cane’s will open its first Sacramento-area restaurant at 207 E St. in downtown Davis by the end of November, the Baton Rouge-based chicken chain announced in a press release Wednesday morning.
Another location will replace On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina at 1220 Galleria Blvd. in Roseville come mid-December, and Stockton and Lodi restaurants will open in early December and mid-January as well. A Manteca location opened in August.
“It’s been a long time coming for us to open up here in Sacramento and we couldn’t be more excited following our smashing opening in Manteca,” Raising Cane’s regional leader of restaurants Chris Zygler said in the press release. “From Davis to Stockton to Lodi to Roseville, as a proud resident of the area, I can’t wait for locals to experience Cane’s and for us to become a staple throughout many Sacramento (c)ommunities and beyond!”
Cane’s, as it’s known colloquially, gained a ravenous following throughout the South thanks to its short menu including crispy chicken tenders, crinkle-cut fries and its famous pink dipping sauce. The 25-year-old chain is expected to open Elk Grove, Citrus Heights and Natomas locations in 2022.
Raising Cane’s aims to hire around 800 employees between the Davis, Roseville, Stockton and Lodi locations. Visit http://www.jobs.raisingcanes.com/ to apply.
