New Folsom cafe offers pastries, sandwiches from locally sourced bread, produce ingredients
A new cafe, which replaced the Reset: Cafe by Day in Folsom’s historic district, is now ”The Folsom Cafe.”
The cafe on Sutter Street changed ownership in November and the new name came in January. Customers can enjoy a full coffee bar, tea, wine, beer, pastries and sandwiches, according to Angelica Montenegro-Tucker, the restaurant’s general manager.
“We’re super happy with the response we’ve gotten from our community and the support that we’ve gotten,” Montenegro-Tucker said. “It’s just been a really fun journey.”
Prices range from $10 to $12 for smaller plates like avocado toast and bruschetta while the cafe’s sandwiches cost anywhere from $14 to $16, she said.
Montenegro-Tucker said the ingredients, aside from Boar’s Head meats, are locally sourced from Sacramento companies Grateful Bread and Produce Express.
The cafe will be part of the historic district’s “Sip and Stroll” event on Saturday, April 15, which gives participants an opportunity to sip wine while shopping in Historic Folsom, she said.
Outside the cafe, there is still a sign that reads “Reset: Cafe By Day.”
“We’re waiting on our sign maker to make our ‘Folsom Cafe’ sign, then that’s coming down,” she said.
Hours: Open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sundays; closed Tuesdays.
Location: 727 Sutter St., Suite B
