Upscale ax-throwing bar closes Granite Bay location after a few months of operation

Get Axed, an ax-throwing bar and restaurant, has permanently closed its Granite Bay location.

The bar, located at 8705 Folsom Auburn Road, was known for its dozens of craft beers and wine available to order. A departure from traditional ax-throwing venues, Get Axed offered 12 digital ax-throwing games, allowing patrons to choose their game and project it onto a target board.

It also offered burgers and chicken wings, according to its website.

A representative of the business was not immediately available for comment on the closure Tuesday.

Get Axed opened in September. Its now vacant location in Granite Bay Village is listed as a “turn-key” restaurant property available for lease at a rate of $19,332 per month, according to Ethan Conrad Properties.

Get Axed in Lincoln is still in operation, and plans to open new locations in Arizona and Tennessee, according to its website.
