Wingstop bringing ‘flavor experience’ to third Elk Grove location
A new Wingstop restaurant is set to open in Elk Grove, bringing a third iteration of the national chicken wing chain to a prominent retail plaza in the southern Sacramento County city.
A bright, white and green Wing Stop placard recently appeared at The Crossing shopping center at 8694 Elk Grove Boulevard, Suite 3. The store is situated between Charlene’s Beauty Supply and LaBou. The 39,200-square-foot plaza is anchored by Dollar Tree and managed by CBRE.
As of this week, no notices were posted regarding an opening date or call for hires. CBRE leasing agent Jon Schultz was unavailable for comment.
Wingstop launched in Garland, Texas in 1994 and now operates more than 2,000 restaurants worldwide, according to its website. The chain touts its “fresh never faked wings” and hand-cut seasoned fries, with lemon pepper as its most popular flavor. A limited-time offering features a Mexican street spice blend.
“We’re not in the wing business. We’re in the flavor business,” the company’s website says. “It’s flavor that defines us.”
The menu includes wings prepared wet with sauce or dry with seasoned rubs, offered in a range of heat levels from mild to hot. The company describes its meals as “a flavor experience.”
The location will be the chain’s 18th location in the capital region.
