New French sandwiches and house-roasted coffee cafe coming to Arden Arcade
A cafe serving house-roasted coffee and French sandwiches is coming to Arden Arcade.
Chez Luc’s French Cafe announced on Instagram it would launch a soft opening Thursday through Saturday before hosting its opening Monday at 650 Fulton Ave. near the Y-split with Munroe Street.
The cafe will feature house-roasted coffee from Sacramento-based Navigo Coffee Co., owned by Ryan Forrester and his wife, Meagan. Navigo began roasting coffee in 2021 under a cottage license, operating out of a home kitchen.
Chez Luc’s menu highlights classic Parisian sandwiches such as jambon beurre, ham and cheese on a baguette, and croque monsieur, made with Gruyere and bechamel sauce. Other offerings include avocado toast, chocolate sandwiches and brie and pear salad.
Chez Luc’s takes over the space previously owned by Kostas Panayotakopoulos of Greek Food Imports, which was sold to Forrester and his business partner in March, according to a Facebook post.
Founded in 2016, Greek Food Imports was an international grocery store specializing in prepackaged olive oil, bread and other products from Greece, along with prepared foods.
Chez Luc’s French Cafe’s will operate from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Saturday, according to the Instagram post.
