Bad Bakers, a locally based doughnut shop with multiple outlets, opened in West Sacramento on April 26 at 2050 Town Center Plaza #B170. The business announced the opening on its social media last week.

Another social media post on the day of the opening showed a large crowd waiting out front, and customers showing off their purchases.

With this opening, Bad Bakers has six locations peppered across the region, in Sacramento, Folsom, Roseville, Elk Grove and now West Sacramento.

The company’s website shows ones coming in Citrus Heights and Woodland, and it is actively hiring for both locations. It also has a location in Santa Ana.

Bad Bakers offers a whimsical selection of fried cake and raised doughnuts with playful names such as Unicorn Clouds (glazed with sprinkles) and Movie Time (glazed with chocolate malt and popcorn).

It also makes buttery, Filipino-style Spanish rolls, including sweet ones called Staxx and savory, stuffed Czech-style kolaches. On Fridays and Saturdays it makes an ube roll, made with the purple Filipino tuber.

Bad Bakers was one of the more popular selections in the newsroom in The Bee’s roundup of notable doughnut shops in the Sacramento area.
